HYPOESTES

The Hypoestes plant, also known as the polka dot plant, is popular for its colourful, spotted leaves.

LIGHT
Hypoestes plants thrive in bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can cause the vibrant leaf colours to fade, while too little light can result in leggy growth.

WATER
Water your Hypoestes plant when the top 5 to 10cm of soil feels dry.

FERTILISING
Feed your Hypoestes plant every two weeks during the spring and summer months.

SOIL
Your Hypoestes will enjoy a well draining soil mix. Visit our soil bar and add perlite & vermiculite to a standrad soil mix.

TEMPERATURE
Standard household temperatures are fine for Hypoestes, just ensure they are kept away from any cold dfraughts.

HUMIDITY
Your Hypoestes will enjoy increased humidity. Achieve this with a pebble tray, grouping plants together or a humidifier.

TOXICITY
Hypoestes are considered non toxic to humans and animlas.
